A family-run agency has launched a campaign to back the High Street following the reopening of most shops and businesses.
London agency Daniel Cobb has launched Welcome Back To The High St.
The campaign uses Daniel Cobb’s window displays to showcase many local heroes - the local shop owners, some of which have reopened after 14 months.
George Cobb, the agency’s managing director, has been meeting with local business owners as part of the campaign.
He says: “It’s been very humbling to hear the hardship that many local business owners have faced, the tough decisions they have made and the impact the pandemic has had on their livelihood and businesses.
“Without these businesses, the communities we as estate agents work in start to lose their identity and in turn become less of an attractive place to live. In my view, our responsibility as agents extends way beyond moving people in and out of an area, it is about supporting a community and making it a great place to live.”
The firm has branches in Westminster, London Bridge and Kennington and Cobb says all agents have been fortunate having been the first to open up again during the pandemic.
“This is our way of supporting and welcoming back those much-loved businesses. They are the lifeblood of the local community, providing exciting shopping opportunities and valued services as well as hosting welcoming spaces where people can meet” he adds.
The agency is 27 years old and remains family-run by the Cobbs.
