Two former directors of the prestigious Beauchamp Estates agency in central London have set up their own new company.
They say their aim is to bring “a contemporary and modern approach to buying property in the capital, grounded in building strong personal relationships.”
London House has been set up by Richard Douglas, who has worked in the industry since 2005, and Alex Bourne, who has been an agent for a decade and claims to have "an enviable contact book amongst high-net-worth individuals from around the globe.”
The new agency launches this month and has properties on its books from the Marylebone, Belgravia, Mayfair and Holland Park areas of prime London, as well as the wider London area.
A statement from the founders says: “While London House gives buyers access to London’s most premium properties, the brand is also committed to helping all clients find a suitable buyer for their real estate, and typically handles properties valued between £1 million to upwards of £100m.”
London House says it has a focus on building strong and long lasting relationships with clients through a bespoke service, and takes “a colourful, evocative, and empathetic view to the property industry.”
Richard Douglas says: “I’ve worked at many different estate agencies throughout my career, however, I’ve always felt that the industry was missing something. For years now the focus has been on quick sales, easy profits and ever-growing margins - but I think it’s time to begin putting strong, personal relationships first.
“That’s why I’m so excited to be launching London House with Alex, where our focus is going to be consulting with our clients to build healthy, long lasting, professional relationships with them to ensure continued success for years to come.”
Alex Bourne adds: “Our mission is to put people first, giving our clients a stress-free, efficient and tailored experience to suit their needs - both when buying and selling properties.
“We’ve retained all of our clients from Beauchamp Estates, so we’re keen to continue delivering a premium service, while continuing to expand our roster of listings to encompass the whole prime real estate market here in London.”

The days of manipulation and hustle for Estate agency will eventually be replaced by relationships. Those embracing it now will be known as category leaders - the category of Trust.
Best wishes for the future to you both.

Where did they get the properties from? Stolen from previous employers?
