Welcome to the start of another week and as the housing market continues at full pelt, so does the movement of people around the industry.

If you want your jobs or appointments news to feature here, email press@estateagenttoday.co.uk and we’ll do the rest on a Monday very soon. In the meantime, here we go…

Guy Bradshaw has been promoted from Director and Head of Residential sales to managing director at UK Sotheby’s International Realty.

“Over recent years, we have built a strong team of brokers, with passion and drive, supported by an exceptional wider resource team. Our collaborative approach has enhanced what we offer our clients.  We are excited to grow further and with the benefit of a global referral network, we can deliver exceptional service and results for both our domestic and international clients” he says.

Meanwhile another high-end agency - Strutt & Parker - has named Marcus Flacks as the new head of its residential marketing team.

Marcus has 20 years’ experience in the marketing industry, most recently at Marsh & Parsons.

At Strutts, Marcus will further develop the businesses’ brand proposition, implementing innovative campaigns that drive awareness and consideration, along with helping the agency enhance and expand its digital footprint.

And at Knight Frank there has been a raft (and we mean a big raft) of promotions - 67 staff have been made partners and 92 have become associates.

Alistair Elliott, senior partner and group chairman, says: “Despite a challenging year, the firm has outperformed all expectations. This robust performance, against a backdrop of some of the toughest trading conditions we have ever experienced, is a true testament to our brilliant people and unique Partnership structure. It gives me great pleasure to be able to recognise this superb performance by promoting 159 from across the firm. These promotions celebrate dedication and hard work, and are part of our ongoing strategy to retain and attract the very best people in the market. I wish them huge congratulations.”

Now to fast-changing and restructuring agency Spicerhaart, where the new regional land manager has been named as Peter Rothery.

Peter, 51, started his career as an estate agent but then spent 10 years as a PGA golf professional. Qualifying at The Belfry, he went on to become head coaching professional at golf clubs in the UK and Europe.  H

“It’s really important for me to make a connection with my clients and have a long-term relationship with them. Land and new homes projects are big pieces of work, so I’m looking forward to giving each project and each client the time and commitment they need”

Peter’s new role will be based in Doncaster and will cover the Yorkshire area.

Property management business Principle Estate Management has appointed Seran Fitzpatrick, who has previously worked in the retail and hospitality sectors, on a full apprenticeship.

She says: “I was keen to get a job that would challenge me but also train me, and one where I would gain even more experience and new skills in the workplace. Principle is a really professional firm, and I was thrilled to get this opportunity to work in its customer services team. I’ve enjoyed my day release so far and am now looking forward to getting fully trained on my apprenticeship.”

Now we're looking in on the Housing Hand rental grantor service to welcome James Maguire as its new head of sales and business development.

He has 20 years experience in digital sales and marketing and will now oversee the delivery of Housing Hand's strategic sales focus for the UK and Ireland, including building key partnerships and alliances to support market demand, as well as managing the company’s overall sales function.

-

And finally, a departure - after no less than 37 years. Well known residential development agent Dominic Grace is quitting Savills to go out on his own. He will now head up the Dominic Grace Consultancy, to operate across the property industry.

He's told Property Week: “There are a lot of businesses, particularly on the back of Covid and all the challenges around Brexit, that need to be asking themselves: ‘How do we pivot, how do we adapt? Who do we collaborate with? What might the future hold?' I’m not arrogant enough to think I have all the answers but I’m quite good at posing those questions.”

-

That’s it for this week - we’re back in July with more jobs news, so enjoy the sunshine and until then…
