Rural-focussed agency Brown&Co has acquired Lincoln-based agency JH Walter - the merged operation formally begins on October 1.
Brown&Co opened its Lincoln office early this year and the addition of JH Walter’s Lincoln practice will bring the new combined branch to 70 people. It will operate as a major regional hub within the Brown&Co partnership.
JH Walter’s Lincoln city centre office will continue to host the residential and county property auction teams and the rural, commercial, planning and energy teams will integrate with Brown&Co’s existing partners and staff.
Ian Walter, senior partner at JH Walter, says: “We share the same values and culture of Brown&Co and this represents an ideal fit for our staff and our clients to provide a long term future and opportunity for growth for the firm, our partners and staff.”
And Charles Whitaker, managing partner, Brown&Co, adds: “We see great synergies between the two of our practices; both sharing a heritage and legacy created in the heart of Lincolnshire and sharing core business values. JH Walter have a strong rural client base and we are delighted to add their additional services, capacity and people to our business. This investment helps us to create value, efficiency and growth for both our clients and the practice of Brown&Co. It serves as a key driver for our partnership and the JH Walter team fit well with this for us.”
