OnTheMarket agents are to have access to the prospecting tool SmartMail, produced by data firm Sprift.
SmartMail is a canvassing and prospecting system that targets mails to be sent directly to specifical properties, irrespective of whether they are listed with another agent or are not on sale at all.
Agents can set specific events that trigger SmartMails, and agents can also prospect or canvass for instructions in specific streets or areas, as well as by type or value.
Some non-OTM agents have already bought into SmartMail and they will continue to have access to the tool - otherwise, it will become an exclusive perk for OnTheMarket members.
OTM’s chief executive, Jason Tebb, says the deal with Sprift ”will support our agents in building their pipelines as we start the New Year. This is increasingly important given the historic low stock levels we’re currently seeing. In a market where demand is still very much outweighing supply in many instances, now more than ever it really is all about inventory.”
And Matt Gilpin, the chief executive of Sprift, adds: “By allowing agents to target both on and off market properties using incredibly specific triggers, SmartMail is the ultimate prospecting tool designed to support and build property pipelines.”
Last June OTM announced a partnership with data consultancy Sprift, to produce guides which include title plans, plot sizes, available broadband performance and mobile coverage, flood risk rating, Council Tax banding and costs, Listed status or relevant Conservation Area, Tree Preservation Orders and property EPCs, together with Unique Property Reference Number and Land Registry data.
Part of that service is free to OTM member agents although the full version involves a subscription.
