Food for thought! Ex-Sainsbury’s boss named Dexters chairman

Former Sainsbury’s chief executive Justin King has been appointed as the new chairman of Dexters.

King is credited with turning Sainsbury’s around during his decade-long tenure at the iconic British retailer and was previously head of food at Marks & Spencer and is also known for helping transform Asda into a market-leading business. 

He will now work with Andy Shepherd, chief executive of Dexters, as the independent agency group seeks to accelerate its growth from its existing London-wide network of more than 70 offices and develop its digital capabilities.

King replaces Jeff Doble, who remains a director.
