Michael Gove has returned to frontline politics and his previous role as Levelling Up and Housing Secretary.
He is among the new members appointed to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s Cabinet.
Gove was appointed Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities in September 2021.
He was credited with pushing developments on leasehold and cladding reform before being sacked from Boris Johnson’s government in July.
Gove replaces Simon Clarke, who was in the role for just 49 days.
