World Cup Agent Match Report: 'Games don't come much bigger than this'

Christmas party season may be in full swing but football fans, including many estate agents, will be glued to their screens on Saturday evening as England face France in the World Cup quarter final.

'Matches at major tournaments don’t get much bigger than this!'

Following England’s triumphant 3-0 win against Senegal they now face the current World Cup holders, France, in the quarter finals. Our neighbours from across the English Channel have been a force to reckon with so far in the tournament with star player Kylian Mbappe putting on a stellar display in their latest game against Poland.

This Saturday’s game against France will be the biggest test of England’s tournament so far. They’ve been noticeably slow in the opening minutes of each of the games played and thankfully got away without any damage being inflicted, but against France, this won’t be the case. 

The familiar face of Olivier Giroud (who is now also France’s top scorer of all time) and the energetic Antoine Griezmann are just a few of the attacking threats that France possesses who only need a glimmer of a chance to convert.

Though England have been defensively solid in all of their games, there is a lot of talk suggesting that Southgate will revert to the more commonly seen five at the back formation. The threat of Mbappe’s speed and technical ability begs the question of ‘do England need two men to shut him out?’

Should Southgate go ahead with this formation, he will have an extremely hard decision to make about who in our midfield makes way for the extra defender. Bellingham has been world class in every game to say the least and though many doubted him, Henderson has shown his qualities too, grabbing a goal along the way against Senegal to kickstart the goal scoring spree.

With both teams having scored a combined 21 goals in the Qatar World Cup thus far, this game is guaranteed to provide action and goals. France will certainly feel confident going into the game, but I think that suits England as it eases the pressure.

Will England overcome France to book its place into back-to-back World Cup semi-finals or will the test prove to be a challenge too big? 

So long as they play with the same aggression and conviction seen in the recent games, I have no doubts in the England team taking the win.
