The industry big hitter who joined Connells on a temporary basis to support its acquisition of Countrywide has now become its commercial director and a board member.
Jon Notley - who was a key figure at Zoopla at the height of the ‘portal wars’ and who then went on to found and become chief executive of Zero Deposit - takes on a range of responsibilities in his new role including heading up Connells’ conveyancing businesses, managing key commercial relationships, and identifying and leading acquisition and investment opportunities.
“I am extremely proud and delighted to join Connells Group on a permanent basis after helping with the Countrywide acquisition in 2021” he says.
“I‘ve known the business for almost 20 years and have always been impressed by the quality of the team and their determination to succeed. I look forward to doing my bit to realise the huge opportunity we have in front of us.”
Notley joined Findaproperty as sales director in 2005 shortly after its acquisition by the Daily Mail Group - it was merged with PrimeLocation in 2008 to form the Digital Property Group.
He then moved to Zoopla in 2011 where he became chief commercial officer and played a key role in the portal’s flotation on the stock market in 2014.
“This is a significant appointment for Connells Group and we are thrilled to welcome Jon back to the business, further strengthening our senior team” says Connells chief executive David Livesey.
“Jon will add value for us in all areas and we look forward to benefitting from his deep understanding of the property industry and Proptech world to ensure we continue to innovate and lead the profession.”
