Sellers deterred by outdated estate agent websites

When was the last time you updated your website?

New consumer research suggests 81% of sellers will not contact an estate agent if their website looks outdated and photos are low quality.

The latest Property Seller’s Survey, commissioned by lead generation company Homeflow, highlights that first impressions count when attracting potential instructions.

The research also showed the high expectations that consumers have of a digital shop window.

Almost nine out of ten sellers (88%) want to see properties an agent has recently sold in their area, 86% want to see recent seller reviews of the agent and 89% would like the option to receive an instant estimated valuation for their property.

Asked about other features, 62% of people would like to watch a video about a brand’s services, see their team and example properties.

A live chat option on a website was also popular, with 59% of sellers keen on the option to quickly ask questions.
