Marcus Jones has been appointed as housing minister.
The appointment came late last night after a tumultuous day in Westminster that saw Boris Johnson bow to pressure to resign,
Jones replaces Stuart Andrew who had quit the government post earlier this week.
He is MP for Nuneaton, Arley and Hartshill.
Jones was previously a government whip from 13 February 2020, assistant government whip from 29 July 2019 to 13 February 2020 and minister for local government from from May 2015 to January 2018.
He said: "This is an important and challenging brief and I look forward to giving all my energy and attention to this demanding role."

He'll be gone in three months.
He needs to sort out the mess they are making with private landlords - otherwise there wont be anything decent left to rent!
