The team travelled in two minibuses between climbs and survived on very little sleep as they walked through the night and even when in the minibus, they didn’t get very much rest.
Kerry Davies, estate agency director for Butters John Bee, was one of the team.
She said: “I trained as part of a mini team with colleagues from my local area but we joined together with others from across the Spicerhaart family on the day of the event.
“We naturally formed three mini-groups as we all had varying levels of fitness and training but we had to work as a team as we couldn’t move on until the slowest person had finished each climb.
“I enjoyed climbing Snowdon the most but that was probably because it was the last one. “It took five hours to climb Snowdon and get back down, we were all exhausted due to the physical effort and sheer lack of sleep.”
There was a real team spirit with colleagues from Spicerhaart greeting the intrepid climbers at the bottom of each mountain with an array of snacks and treats.
Kerry added: “It was a great experience and lovely that we could do it as one team. Whilst you can train for an event like this it is the mental challenge that proves difficult alongside the sleep deprivation. It is fair to say that nearly every one of us had a meltdown at some point during the challenge.
“We climbed with people from across the business, some of us hadn’t met one another before so it was also a good team building exercise.”
Emma Barber, chair of Magic Moments, added: “It is amazing what the team achieved. They put in so much hard work and raised valuable funds for Magic Moments.
“It means we can take more unwell children and their families on a trip of a lifetime to Disneyland.”
LH1 London: Off-plan property consultants LH1 London has signed an exclusive five-year partnership agreement with ShelterBox, an international disaster relief charity supported by Royal Patron The Duchess of Cornwall.
LH1 London’s commitment will include financial support, whilst the development specialists will also be helping to promote key charitable initiatives and events.
Commenting on the partnership, Rayna Hunter, managing director and head of global sales at LH1 London, said: “We have been looking for the right charitable partner to support for some time, but when we came across ShelterBox we knew immediately it was the perfect fit. We were blown away with the incredible work ShelterBox do, responding to international disasters where families have sadly lost their homes and possessions overnight.
“They provide emergency shelter and essential supplies to those who have been impacted. LH1 is a property company who ultimately provide homes, so, to be in a position to support those who have lost their homes means a great deal to us. ShelterBox have a saying ‘where there’s a home there’s hope’ and that really resonates with us.
“Of course, one of our primary roles is financial support. However, with my experience from my previous life in PR and Events there is even more synergy. My personal ambitions with ShelterBox are to assist them in raising their profile on an international level with such obvious synergy to our core business. We are extremely excited about the future with ShelterBox.”
Alex Jones, philanthropy and partnerships executive at ShelterBox, added: “Emergency shelter aid is what we specialise in at ShelterBox. We help shelter people across the world who have lost their homes to disaster or conflict and our work is only possible thanks to our supporters.
“Corporate partnerships play a vital role in helping us to reach people with lifesaving shelter aid.
“Our partnership with LH1 London will mean people will receive the shelter support they need after disaster.”

The event raised money for its charity partner, Richard House Children’s Hospice.
More than £2,000 was raised, which will go towards the vital work that the charity does to help children and their families in London lead as happy a life as possible when dealing with a life-limiting health condition.

“It was great to see the team come together in support of this great charitable initiative.”
Octopus Real Estate: Property lender Octopus Real Estate last month hosted 25 young people from across London as part of Regeneration Brainery’s London Brainery event.
Regeneration Brainery is a non-profit dedicated to inspiring the next generation to get involved in the property industry.
Targeted towards school leavers from diverse or disadvantaged backgrounds who are interested in a career in real estate but don’t know where to begin, half of the attendees of the London Brainery live in social housing, and 90% are of ethnic minority.
This is in stark contrast to the UK property industry, with this figure standing at just 6%.
Almost half of attendees were young women, compared with just 14% in the industry today.
The London event, one of many planned across the country in the coming months, was a five-day event including sessions at architecture firm Levitt Bernstein, Lloyds Bank and Octopus Real Estate.
Octopus team members spent time with the Brainees, talking through their own career journeys and exploring timely topics such as sustainability and retrofitting. They also led sessions on the importance of self-branding and networking, and discussed CV tips and interview techniques.
Judi Greenwood, head of Regeneration Brainery, said: “Regeneration Brainery aims to show school leavers and recent graduates just how diverse careers in the property industry can be. In our varied programme, Brainees work on group projects, listen to mentors and visit offices and sites to get as taste of what working in property can be like.
“Our programme relies on industry leaders getting involved and imparting their wisdom to a group of young, curious minds, so we were delighted with how much effort and energy the mentors put into their presentations and activities.”
Zoe Cooke, HR business partner at Octopus Real Estate, added: “We were thrilled to sponsor the London Brainery and host the next generation of property leaders here at our London office.
“Making young people from diverse backgrounds aware of the opportunities available across the property industry is fundamentally important to the future of the industry and society as a whole, and very much aligns with our mission to reimagine real estate to the benefit of future generations.
“Our team here at Octopus loved how hands-on the Brainees were, throwing themselves into activities and asking insightful, thought-provoking questions. We look forward to working closely with them in the future.”
The London Brainery attendees were students from South London, with most of them students at Harris Clapham Sixth Form and La Retraite Catholic Girls School.
Relocation Agent Network: For the fifth year in a row, estate agent members including Dawsons participated in a foodbank collection event organised by Relocation Agent Network alongside Agents Giving.
Participants have now collected more than 40,000 items to support food bank charity the Trussell Trust.
Chris Hope, senior partner at Dawsons, said: “We are honoured to be a part of an organisation that rallies support in the local communities of its members and supports this critical charitable cause.
“Since taking part in the Agents Giving week in June 2018, we have built a great rapport with our branch’s local foodbanks in: Llanelli, Gorseinon, St Thomas, Mumbles and the Lifepoint in Swansea City Centre and we will continue to support them all year round.”
