New self-employed agency signs 30 recruits in four months

A new self-employed estate agency says it’s signed-up 30 new recruits in four months.

iad - which had 20 recruits until recently - signed up another 10 at a three-day roadshow, attended by some 100 existing and prospective agents.

The agency says the roadshow explained what it calls “its unique self-employed agency business model” in the West Midlands, Essex and Suffolk, offering “earning potential, flexibility, and comprehensive training.”

The brand claims its unique commission split sees agents keep up to 87 per cent and offer ”the potential for them to start growing and receiving revenue from their own team of agents.”

iad managing director Lee O’Brien says: “We’re getting great feedback about our model and the things that make us a unique proposition for hard-working, aspirational agents. It’s also been an honour to see our existing iad agents speak so passionately about their roles and successes together with reassuring words around the support and credibility that a sizable, profitable entity such as iad uniquely provides.

“The self-employed model is the future of agency in the UK, and we believe we offer the finest iteration of those currently active in the market. After this recent road trip, it’s great to know that everyone else agrees with us.”

iad is currently operating in seven markets including France, Spain, and Miami, with more than 20,000 agents across the globe and annual revenue totalling £500m.
