Rightmove has launched a course for estate and letting agents to help them understand and remain compliant with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations (CPRs).
The course has been created with National Trading Standards Estate and Lettings Agency Team (NTSELAT) to make sure agents have all the information they need to feel confident in complying with the CPRs.
It comes as Parts B and C of material information rules are expected in the coming weeks.
Emma Cooke, policy and information manager and Alison Farrar, operations manager at NTSELAT, will lead the course, which breaks down what the CPRs are, how they are enforced, and goes through each aspect of the CPRs in a series of short and accessible videos for agents.
A section on complying with Material Information Part A is included, and the course will be updated with Parts B and C as soon as they’re announced.
Jason Charles, head of education at Rightmove said: “Agents tell us that their teams keeping on top of fast-moving legislation changes and new guidance can be challenging. We wanted to make it easier for agents to access a course to help them feel confident complying with the CPRs, in a way that fits around their busy schedules.
“We’re proud to have delivered so much free training to agents this year, helping agents to keep up with their CPD hours, and we will continue to provide leading resources and education to help agents succeed.”
Agents can begin the course and contribute towards their continuing professional development hours at https://hub.rightmove.co.uk/certified-training-for-property-professionals/
