Angels Media: Silvia Lopez-Hernandez, accounts and marketing manager for Estate Agent Today publisher Angels Media is skipping into action for charity.

She is taking on the 100 skips a day challenge this month to help raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Lopez-Hernandez had hoped to raise £250 but has already surpassed that with more than £500 of donations.

fu3e.: Real estate software platform fu3e. is supporting My Name’5 Doddie Foundation with a charity bike ride.

The charity bike ride, beginning on the 9 February, is in memory of former Scotland rugby international Doddie Weir who passed away after suffering from Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

The charity cycle will raise funds for Doddie’s Weir’s MND charity, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, to increase awareness and research into the causes of MND, investigate potential cures, and make grants to sufferers of MND.

Rob Henderson, chief commercial officer for fu3e., will take part to raise money and awareness.

He will be joined by a team of people from the brand’s community of partners and customers including Paul Bashir, chief executive of Harrison Street, Chris Davidson, managing director at Ares Management and property development analyst at Sunrise Real Estate Grace Porter. 

Featuring multiple rugby legends, the participants will journey from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff towards the Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh to deliver the match ball on time for the Doddie Weir Cup, taking place on 11 February.

Henderson said: “Being fans of rugby, we felt as a group it was important to support this charity initiative as this is an event which is close to our hearts.

“We’re looking forward to being involved and to continue raising money to improve the lives of people affected by Motor Neurone Disease.”

Countrywide Surveying Services: Countrywide Surveying Services (CSS) is embarking on a 20,741km (12,888 miles) virtual walk that represents the combined cumulative distance of the UK coastline and the circumference of Northern Ireland.

The CSS regional and leadership teams have been challenged to record their daily steps, take walks, go for a run and record the distance which will be logged to reach the distance target. 

The Countrywide Challenge will take place over the course of February and all money raised will be donated to mental health charity MIND. 

Weekly updates will be posted on the CSS LinkedIn and Instagram pages.

Matthew Cumber, managing director of CSS, said: “The NHS and various mental health wellbeing charities recommend walking as a gateway to improving fitness and mental health. So, the aim of our challenge is to encourage everyone within the field to cover a minimum of 10,000 steps a day, to stay healthy and raise money for the charity MIND.  

“This represents a fantastic cause and I’m sure that our regional and leadership teams will step up to the plate and smash this challenge.”
