Hybrid agency brand Nested has entered the Scottish property market with a former Keller Williams (KW) market centre operator at the helm.
Andy Reid, previously operating principal of KW Caledonia, has been named as Nested’s regional partner for Scotland.
Nested said it has grown from 10 to 33 partner agents since switching to a self-employed model, a 220% increase, and claims to be poised to grow further as it expands into Scotland.
Reid, also previously a RE/MAX franchisee owner will be responsible for running the entire Scottish region, ensuring all Nested agents are provided with the support they need for success.
He will also be responsible for delivering full training within the region.
Nested has already signed its first partner agent, covering the area of Inverness.
Reid said: “As an owner and in leadership roles within various franchise models, I have witnessed the challenges these models face in establishing themselves in the UK, especially within the Scottish property market and unique legal system.
“When looking at Nested and the unwavering support, guidance and advanced technology on offer, along with their desire to ensure that the processes the Scottish property system requires are set up with the clients and agents in mind, it seemed obvious to me that Nested was the perfect self-employed model for Scotland.
“I am excited to contribute to the growth and success of Nested Scotland as an integral part of the nationwide group by ensuring that our Scottish agents are set up for success better than anywhere else.”
Alice Bullard, managing director at Nested, added: “We’re delighted to have Andy Reid joining us as the regional partner for Scotland. It was vitally important to have someone leading this region who has the knowledge and experience of the Scottish property market, to ensure that our agents in this country are supported with processes that fit their system.”
It comes after Evelyn Foster took over the KW Scotia and the KW Caledonia Market Centres in May in mysterious circumstances.
