Savills chief jumps ship to new agency

A new estate agency has now announced that its co-founder is a Savills head of office who has jumped ship.

Sebastian Hipwood, described by his now firm as “a seasoned professional with over 15 years in the industry” joins Blue Book Agency as a co-founder. 

Blue Book Agency was launched in the spring by country house specialist Lindsay Cuthill - himself a veteran country house agent who recently departed from Savills, where he was head of the country house department.

Formerly the head of office at Savills Cirencester, Hipwood is a particular expert about the Cotswolds market and equestrian properties. 

Blue Book Agency says it sets itself apart in a market historically dominated by large corporate agencies: it says it has “a commitment to quality over quantity” and “andpicks only the most exquisite and historically significant country and London properties, providing clients with an unparalleled level of service.”

Even before it launched it claimed to have some £60m of property on its books.
