Agents Do Charity - on your bike

Agents Giving: Industry charity Agents Giving is seeking participants for The Great British Property Cycle this October.

This event is for everyone to take part throughout the month of October, and you can cycle in your own time – you can either hop on your road bike, mountain bike or static bike in your front room or office and ride any mileage you choose. 

Clock your mileage on Strava and see if collectively we can all make our way around the British Isles.

Everyone can take part in this industry-wide event to help raise funds for charity.

Money raised will be donated to MIND mental health charity, The Trussell Trust and Agents Giving to help with grants towards your fundraising.

Nexa: Estate agency brand Nexa has £7,552.05 at its first charity golf day.

The funds were presented to  Alison Oliver MBE and Youth Sport Trust.

The golf day consisted of a shotgun start of an 18-hole round, mini competitions, plenty of refreshments stops, and a raffle, with prizes donated by generous local businesses.

This was the second fundraising activity for YST on top of Nexa’s annual donation. Last year its employees worked to complete 9,000km in 90 days by walking, running or cycling, where they raised more than £5,000. 

Barratt Homes: Housebuilder Barratt Homes has supported Foal Farm Animal Rescue Centre in Biggin Hill with a £1,500 donation and voluntary work.   

Beginning its journey in 1960, Foal Farm has been rescuing and rehoming neglected animals in and around Kent for more than 60 years. 

Barratt Kent has shown its support with a day of volunteering in the early summer, helping paint fences, clean enclosures, and feeding animals across the 26-acre farm. 

The housebuilder also supported the farm with a £1,500 donation, which will contribute towards the general day-to-day running of the centre and food supplies for the animals.  

Natalie Perry, sales and marketing director for Barratt Kent, said: “Animals are a big part of everyone’s lives, and it is increasingly important that they are cared for properly by these centres. 

“We are proud to have spent the day volunteering at Foal Farm, learning all about the important work which happens there and putting our hands to good use! It is places like this which make all the difference in growing our community, and we look forward to seeing the difference that is made here to the local area.” 

Denise Hodge, commercial operations manager from Foal Farm Animal Rescue Centre, added: “Our mission is to ensure as many animals as we can properly care for are safe within Kent. 

“It is local businesses like Barratt Kent whose support makes such a difference in better care for our animals, and we had a wonderful day welcoming the group of volunteers recently and educating them about the centre. We would also like to say a big thank you for the generous donation, and we are sure the animals are grateful for their new and improved homes.”
