The agency brand has donated more than £600 to fund the whole kit, ensuring the team kicks off every match day game in style.

Competing in the West Riding Girls Football League, the team has been playing together for three years, and last season came top of the league, winning 27 out of 29 games and scoring over 165 goals. Several of the girls were also invited to train with United Football Sporting Academy and Manchester United.

Speaking about the new kit, the team’s lead coach, Daniel Cullum, said: “This generous donation from Manning Stainton has allowed us to give the whole team a winning new match day kit, which all the girls absolutely love.

“Stand out moments for us as coaches last year were seeing the girls improve so much in such a short space of time and seeing them growing and working together as a team. Female football is going from strength to strength now, and we’re looking forward to having another really successful season.”

The estate agent covered the cost of last year’s kit too, which has now been passed down to the new under 9s.

Lesley Robinson, branch manager at Manning Stainton’s Crossgates branch, said: “Women’s football is huge now, in part thanks to our brilliant Lionesses, and it’s brilliant to be able to support the rising stars of the future. We’re delighted to be sponsors for Amaranth Crossgates Under 10s and hope they enjoy another great season.”

Hunters: Agency brand Hunters Wetherby has been supporting boxer Maxi Hughes, helping him go from small hall shows to headline events in Leeds, Dubai and Nottingham under his promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing.

Maxi most recently fought in America to defend his IBO lightweight title against George Kambosos, however despite a phenomenal performance the judges on the night did not agree.

The relationship started over four years ago with Hunters wanting to help a gifted fighter who also was working a full time job as a painter and decorator and also being a father to a young family.

Justin Johnson, partner at Hunters Wetherby, said: “We are pleased to have supported Maxi on his incredible journey to becoming a full time professional boxer, showcasing how important local business support is to help elite people achieve their dreams.”

Principle Estate Management: Matthew Hill, a senior property inspector at Principle Estate Management has walked for miles in the rain to help raise £3,000 for local scouts.

As part of Principle’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), each team member has the opportunity to apply for an additional day off per year to support a charity cause of their choice.

Matthew took advantage of this benefit by volunteering to help set up The 12 Parish Walk in aid of the 12 Hallie Scout Troop, near Worcester.
He said: “I really enjoyed the day which involved marking some of the routes and preparing the Scout hut for registration and finishing.

“Despite the unfortunate weather, which left me and others soaked through, the eventual walk was a success, with distances ranging from 10 to 40 miles.

“Ultimately, the event raised an impressive £3,000 for the Scout group, and so it all felt worthwhile in the end.

“I think it’s great that Principle helps us to support charity groups, and I’m looking forward to doing something like this again next year.”

Brett Williams, the founder and joint managing director at Principle, added: “Our vision at Principle is to ‘positively impact the everyday lives of our communities’ and we believe it is vital to contribute to the community in which we work and live, both as a business and as individuals.”

Fine & Country: This October, Fine & Country agents from across the UK and beyond are dusting off their aprons ready to flaunt their baking prowess for the return of the Fine & Country Foundation Coffee Morning.

Taking place on Thursday 26 October from 9am to 12pm, Fine & Country offices will be opening their doors to the public to enjoy baked treats and refreshments in support of the Foundation, raising money to combat the causes of homelessness around the world.

Jon Cooke, trustee of The Fine & Country Foundation, said: “The coffee morning has been a staple in the Foundation’s event calendar for many years; however, the effects of the pandemic meant we had to put a pause on proceedings.

“I am delighted that we are able to resurrect this superb event for 2023, which will generate donations towards The Foundation and will help us support so many amazing charities.”

In the first seven months of 2023, the Foundation has raised an impressive £78,000. The organisation has donated more than £87,000 to homeless charities in the UK and overseas through Grant Programmes, run twice a year, with the next round of grants opening in October. In 2024, the charity will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary and hopes to achieve its fundraising goal of £1m  to mark the occasion.

Agents Giving: Industry charity Agents Giving has a busy month coming up with not one but two charity events – a charity golf day and the industry Dragon Boat Race.
The second charity golf day of the year will be at The Morley Hayes golf resort in the rolling hills of Derbyshire on 7 September.

Sponsors Propoly, Legal for Landlords, LSL Land & New Homes, Reeds Rains, Your Move and B-Hive Block Management Partners will welcome 20 industry teams for a wonderful day of golf, dinner along with charity auction.

The industry Dragon Boat Race is also back on 10 September at Fairlop Waters, Chigwell, Essex.

Agent teams will be out in force for an enjoyable day of fundraising on the water where there will be dressing up, fun and frolics on the lake.

David Newnes, chairman of Agents Giving, said: “We are excited to return to the water this year, this is such a fun and memorable charity event, one that you won’t want to miss.”

There are a few boat spaces available. No fitness capabilities are required, you must be able to hold a paddle and sit upright in a boat. It is the ultimate water sports activity for ages 12-plus where you will race in three heats each of around 250m, with the winners going through to the final challenge. https://agentsgiving.org/event/dragon-boat-race/
