Hunters West Cornwall has announced a new initiative to celebrate the Cornish language.
The agency brand has introduced new sales boards that feature Cornish language translations.
Alongside common estate agency terms such as ‘For sale’ and ‘Sold’, vendors and passers-by will soon find their Cornish counterparts ‘Dhe Wertha’ and ‘Gwerthys’.
Furthermore, for every property that Hunters West Cornwall sells in 2023, upon completion of the transaction it will be donating £100 to the Cornwall Air Ambulance.
Jamie Hendy, managing director of Hunters West Cornwall, said: “We are proud to be based here in beautiful Cornwall and we want to do our part to support the local community.
“By featuring Cornish language translations on our boards and making a donation to Cornwall Air Ambulance for each house we sell, we hope to make a positive impact and show our appreciation for this special place.”
Rob Smith, managing director at Hunters, added: “The new initiative by the Hunters West Cornwall team to include Cornish translations on their sales boards illustrates their commitment to recognising and promoting the cultural heritage of Cornwall. In addition, donating to Cornwall Air Ambulance is a great way to give back to the local community.”
