It seems even celebrity music moguls and TV judges aren’t immune to the housing market slowdown.
X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell is believed to have sold his six-bedroom mansion in A-list Holland Park for £15m.
That may seem like enough to most people but the property was previously valued in the media at as high as £45m.
Specialist property lender Cohort Capital has revealed it recently closed a £5.5m loan for an unnamed high net worth individual to purchase the property.
It said the price reflects the market headwinds and high interest rates.
Matt Thame, founder of Cohort Capital, said: “Given the current turbulent market conditions, time is of the essence more than ever in the luxury real estate sector, and we’re delighted to have been able to close this deal in less than a week.
“Our expertise in the industry has proved to be the X factor for our clients, as we understand the importance of speed, reliability and flexibility in securing finance.”
