Winkworth expands prime north London presence

Winkworth is expanding further in north London, with a new office opening in fashionable West Hampstead.

The move by the agency franchise brand will extend its operation to neighbouring Belsize Park and Hampstead. 
 
Winkworth West Hampstead is the third office for franchisee Neil Sloam, who runs the Maida Vale and St John’s Wood offices. 

The West Hampstead office will be led by 31-year-old Jack Peet, who has more than 10 years’ experience as an agent and was running his own agency in the West Hampstead area for almost four years before joining Winkworth. The new office has opened in the heart of West Hampstead in West End Lane. 

Sloam said: “Our new West Hampstead office means we now have a substantial presence in prime north London and a natural progression for us beyond St John’s Wood and Maida Vale. 

“Jack has extensive experience in the West Hampstead, Belsize Park and Hampstead areas and a brilliant in-depth knowledge of the range of properties from studios to substantial period homes. 

“We have had a strong lettings and management presence in the area for a number of years and we look forward to expanding this from our new office under the direction of Scott Sheldon, who has been running this side of the business for over 20  years from our St John’s Wood office.” 

Peet said: “West Hampstead, Belsize Park and Hampstead may be neighbouring areas but they do attract quite diverse buyers. 

“Belsize Park tends to appeal to midlife professionals and families with older children with its large period conversions and substantial houses, while Hampstead has international appeal for business entrepreneurs, city executives, as well as high profile personalities working in the arts, cultural and media worlds. I have also handled many moves within the three areas to reflect different stages of people’s lives.” 

Dominic Agace, chief executive of Winkworth, said the brand plans to continue expanding and s keen to hear from other property professionals.
