Agent marks 60-year anniversary with shareholder scheme launch

Agency brand Martyn Gerrard is marking 60 years in estate agency by offering staff a stake in the business.

The London agent’s founder Martyn Gerrard opened the doors of its first office on the High Road, Whetstone, on 24 May 1964. 

Today, the agency’s network has grown to 14 offices across North and North West London, having recently opened its newest office in Hampstead, and completing the acquisition of Range Homes to grow and improve the firm’s lettings offering.

To mark the milestone, the firm will be launching a new equity share option for its longstanding employees, which will see senior staff offered the opportunity to have an option to become a shareholder in the business.

The firm’s managing director Simon Gerrard said: “We are incredibly proud to continue standing by the values and principles that my father founded this agency on sixty years ago.

“We have always believed that it is people who make a business, which is why I am so proud to have had David Smith, Warren Price and Greg Tsuman as my fellow directors for 44 years, 33 years, and 22 years respectively. 

“We strongly believe in recognising, encouraging, and rewarding our team’s hard efforts to provide best in class services to clients. We are delighted to be launching the new shareholder scheme for our senior staff.

“We look forward to seeing Martyn Gerrard continue to succeed and grow.”
