Google-backed property search app Jitty has launched a new ‘Collections’ feature – that creates groups of the most interesting and 'trending' properties from around the UK to make it even easier for those browsing the market to discover new homes.
The app, founded by three former early-stage Deliveroo employees has been built for what it describes as “roomscrolling.”
Backed by Gradient Ventures, Google’s AI-focused venture fund, Jitty uses artificial intelligence to read floor plans, and understand photos and descriptions of homes. Because of this, Jitty said it has the ability to cross-reference information with publicly available databases such as estate agent websites and third party services, to provide users with an exceptional level of detail.
The new ‘Collections’ homepage feature includes playful and fun categories such as ‘Amazing Potential’, ‘Charming Cottages’, Unique Buildings’, Castles’, and ‘Let’s Buy a Pub’ - with more to be added as the platform continues to grow.
Graham Paterson, co-founder of Jitty, said: “Have you ever wondered what it's like to live in a castle? Or browse the hidden gems around London, or even look at buying a pub with your friends? Or just see how much it would cost?
“We’ve created Jitty’s Collections to ensure that those who enjoy browsing the property market have more opportunity to find exactly what they are looking for, and better yet, inspire them to look at homes they might not have previously considered. Even if you aren’t buying at home right now, it’s fun to have a look at what’s out there.”
