An agency that’s been part of a community for 55 years has been snapped up by a rival firm.
Reed Evans & Co, founded in 1969, operates in sales and lettings in Bridgend, South Wales.
Alun Reed and Roger Evans have sold to McHattons Estate Agents - its founder, Terence McHatton, says: “We are absolutely honoured to carry forward the legacy that Mr Reed and Mr Evans have built and we look forward serving the residents of Bridgend and the surrounding areas as they have done for almost six decades.
“It has been a true privilege to work with both gentlemen, and I wish them the very best in their well-deserved retirements.
“We are committed to upholding traditional values, which have been the cornerstone of our success. By maintaining these principles, we will continue to grow and deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all our clients.”
The acquisition is described as “a significant expansion” for McHattons, which has its bade in Portcawl and serves Bridgend, Pyle, Kenfig Hill, Pencoed, and the Ogmore and Garw Valleys.
In addition to having a Bridgend office as a result of the acquisition, McHattons is shortly opening a third branch in Neath.
