In a way, you just have to feel sorry for estate agent Trevor Abrahmsohn.
He’s almost certainly the UK’s most successful agent, but doesn’t the poor man ever long to sell a nice house, instead of simply an expensive one?
His latest instruction on billionaires’ row, Bishops Avenue in north London, is reckoned to be the priciest property currently on the UK market at a cool £100m.
Abrahmsohn’s firm Glentree Estates has sold 95% of the properties on Bishops Avenue over the last 35 years and reckons that Heath Hall is one of the road’s finest.
He’s selling it on behalf of a man who built his fortune on a buy-to-let empire and who now owns three jets and a yacht, plus an estate in Epping Forest – which might explain the somewhat unlived-in look of his Bishops Avenue pad.
From the outside, it’s on the plain side, and the garden is overlooked by what look suspiciously like council houses.
However, it does have 14 bedroom suites, a cinema, gym and snooker room, and boasts 12 different types of marble plus panic room complete with loo and telephone wires that can’t be cut, to help justify its enormous price tag.
Indeed, if it goes for the full amount, the Stamp Duty bill alone will be £7m. And to deter idle snoopers, the glossy particulars cost £2,000.
But is it really all in the best possible taste? We suspect Trevor must yearn for a nice bit of Ikea and some John Lewis curtains.
Take a look here.

It think the HPC brigade who continually knock BTL are probably the ones who ought to take note.
I wonder how much borrowing he has and wonder too what happens if he doesn't sell before interest rates overtake his exposure?!
I have repossessd people like flash matey!
"and the garden is overlooked by what look suspiciously like council houses." Oh dear how terrible LOL
This guy came from nothing. To all the agency owners that post on here thinking they are big shots, please take note.
He doesn't look very happy with all that wealth. just look at the faces of the paralympians last night, now that's true wealth!
Cracking house.
I just wish I had that kind of money.
I have a feeling that it will probably be sold by Christmas. I wonder how much profit it will make.
It's also a really busy road, not quite a dual carriageway, but certainly busier than side street.
I might not have any money but at least I can afford to smile!
Why would the Daily mail use a picture of a bloke when he is just off to a funeral?
