Property Place, the business launched this summer and which lists properties via Facebook, is investing in a huge marketing push.
It has hired a digital marketing agency to expand the venture. As a result, Leeds-based Bloom is set to employ a dozen more staff and take on additional office space.
Bloom has been employed to provide marketing support to drive user growth, listings and advertising revenue.
Established by former lawyer Sohail Rashid, Property Place enables home owners, letting agents and estate agents to market residential properties via Facebook.
Properties for sale and rent, and also room shares, can be listed via users’ social media platforms and profiles.
Alex Craven, chief executive of Bloom, said: “Property Place is set to shake up a market that is crying out for change.
“Rightmove’s dominant position is unhealthy for the industry and we believe that Property Place has the right mix of user friendly functionality and commercial appeal for agents.”
Craven has been appointed to Property Place’s board as digital director as part of the partnership.
Sohail Rashid, chief executive and founder of Property Place, said: “We have already established a close working relationship with the team at Bloom. They are a rare blend of data experts, strategists and creatives that have already added huge value to our business.
“We have ambitious plans for the business and we need an ambitious team to grow with us.”

More Bullsh*t from Mr Rashid - from what I heard they only got 70K in Marketing funds which he's probably spent already - havent seen a single facebook add or above the line marketing campaign yet. This whole thing seems to be a PR stunt with no substance was thinking of using it but seen the number of monthly users at 300 - who are they kidding
Tried this absoloute waste of time! Facebook is for Kids and people who are bored! You will never sell property on Facebook. Sink your funds into something better, Why not buy some Rightmove or Zoopla Shares!
This is the only thing in the market that isn't just another portal. Have worked with Alex and Bloom before they are a fantastic outfit. Good luck to them.
In other words, they're going to be posting a "story" on here every day.
Wow.
Complete wast of time, money and effort. The idea is complete nonsense
People don't login to Facebook to browse or buy houses they no the brand for that
Save some money and get real
I wonder how many people actually buy things on Facebook, Twitter, et al.
I have been sceptical about social media, but have seen some positive results.
My main worry about spending lots of money on it is that, like a lot of things on the internet, what is popular today can be completely gone tomorrow - think MySpace, Bebo, etcetera.
Facebook & Twitter both look unassailable, but a couple of stupid decisions and a new, better offering could depose them in an instant.
Plus the fact that the users themselves will just as soon block or unfriend you means that it is almost impossible to make serious headway in this arena without a dedicated member of staff to deal with it - if you are going to do it properly.
Rightmove finally has a decent rival with a compelling product (at last and thank God) and I hope that these guys do well too.
In other words Sohail has remortgaged his house to keep things going and taken a partner to help funding.
