The former boss of FindaProperty and Primelocation has landed a new job within the Daily Mail organisation.

Mark Milner, who stepped down after the merger of the Digital portals with Zoopla, leaving Zoopla boss Alex Chesterman to head up the new business, has been made managing director of Landmark UK Property.

Milner was already on the board of Landmark.

The business, which includes Landmark Quest, was rocked when previous boss James Sherwood-Rogers revealed on his social networking site that he had left and gone on gardening leave. That was back in January and it is understood his gardening leave finally finished in July.

David Callcott, Landmark’s financial director, has plugged the gap by being acting managing director.

Landmark, which provides software for lenders and surveyors, has also appointed Jonathan Upton as Landmark Quest’s head of lender relations.

Upton formerly worked for Calnea Analytics, the Land Registry’s official number cruncher, which was bought by the Daily Mail in 2010.

In its 30th year, Landmark Quest has also confirmed it is relocating to new offices in Reading, Berkshire, from its current HQ in nearby Henley-on-Thames.
