Harry Hill’s conveyancing business In-Deed Online plc has announced the launch of a London based conveyancing business called Lewis & Thomas.

The firm sets out its stall as delivering a premium conveyancing service for customers within the M25,  and which takes accounts of the complexities of the London market.

In-Deed chairman Hill, the former boss of Countrywide, said: “A year ago, we stated our ambition to build a leading UK conveyancing business. Lewis & Thomas is an exciting step in this evolution.

“There’s a real gap in the London market that Lewis & Thomas is going to fill. We deliver fantastic, personal service and proven London expertise – without the eye-watering price tag.”

Lewis & Thomas senior partner Matthew Lewis said: “There is a real need for high-quality, specialist conveyancing from lawyers who specialise in the London property market.

“I’m looking forward to partnering with London’s estate agents to deliver a fantastic conveyancing service to our clients.”

Lewis & Thomas, which has offices in central and west London, will deliver its services through partnerships with independent estate agents and to private clients.

The office was formerly part of Runnett & Co which was acquired by In-Deed in May.

In-Deed was launched on AIM in June 2011 as a non-traditional online conveyancing service which bypassed agents.

However, a few months later, the firm announced that it would be using £4.5m secured through the flotation to buy high street law firms, and now seems happy to work with agents as introducers.
