Asking prices for properties on the market have continued their downward trajectory for the fourth successive month.
Property search engine Home, which has data on virtually every single property for sale in England and Wales, said that last month prices were down 0.3%, and prices were cut on 65,692 homes.
Typical time on the market remained at 148 days.
The number of properties new to the market in January was 14% higher than in January 2010.
According to Home’s calculations, fewer than 4,000 properties are changing hands each day, compared with over 10,000 in August 2007.

You might find it is reference to the fact that the same story was dished up on the 11th feb.
This is a story designed to feed the trolls from hpc.com
There sonny and cher song was the music that repeated ad nausium every morning at 6:30 In the film groundhog day! If the site admins want drivel on their site so be it. The poster managed to stop the malcontent no-hopers from posting more bile
Might be an idea for Rosalind to crack down on her bloggers. This blog would suggest that there are a number of Agents out there who have nothing better to do than copy lyrics. On the subject of spring, going by the age of the songs it would suggest that they ain't all spring chickens either and have probably lost any bounce they may have had in any case.
But can we trust scraped data.
When rightmove say it, we know its correct.
Boo-hoo,
you've got me crying for you
and as I sit here and sigh,
says I, "I can't believe it's true."
Boo-hoo,
I'll tell my mama on you.
The little game that you played
has made her baby oh so blue.
You left me standing all alone
you left me waiting for a home
Boo-hoo,
that's why I'm crying for you.
Someday you'll feel like I do
and you'll be boo-hoo-hooin' too.
You were wrong, you were wrong
You were wrong, yeah, you were wrong
You were wrong, baby, stayin' away too long
You know it ain't right, it ain't right,
It ain't right, it ain't right
It ain't right, stayin' out all night
I try and I try with all my might, to do the thing that's right
No matter how good I treat you baby, you only wanna fuss and fight
You were wrong, you were wrong
You were wrong, yeah, you were wrong
You were wrong, baby, stayin' away too long
You know it ain't right, it ain't right
I ask myself, and I ask myself, and ask myself again,
How can you do the things that right, when you keep on livin' in sin?
You were wrong, you were wrong
You were wrong, yeah, you were wrong
You were wrong, baby, stayin' away too long
You know it ain't right, it ain't right
Deep down everybody knows that asking prices are way too high, that's why transaction volumes are so low. I suspect that rising interest rates (or the threat of) will be the catalyst that kick starts the next downward leg. There'll be no spring bounce, prices will fall below the 2009 bottom and then who knows?................If rates and unemployment keep rising things could get exciting. At least FTB's wont be moaning in a couple of years time.
They say we're young and we don't know
We won't find out until we grow
Well I don't know if all that's true
'Cause you got me, and baby I got you
Babe I got you babe
I got you babe
They say our love won't pay the rent
Before it's earned, our money's all been spent
I guess that's so, we don't have a pot
But at least I'm sure of all the things we got
Babe
I got you babe
I got you babe
I got flowers in the spring
I got you to wear my ring
And when I'm sad, you're a clown
And if I get scared, you're always around
Don't let them say your hair's too long
'Cause I don't care, with you I can't go wrong
Then put your little hand in mine
There ain't no hill or mountain we can't climb
Babe
I got you babe
I got you babe
I got you to hold my hand
I got you to understand
I got you to walk with me
I got you to talk with me
I got you to kiss goodnight
I got you to hold me tight
I got you, I won't let go
I got you to love me so
I got you babe
I got you babe
I got you babe
I got you babe
I got you babe
