Stonepillow: Sussex and Hampshire agency Henry Adams has nominated homeless charity Stonepillow as its chosen charity for 2015/2016.
This includes sponsoring the charity's key fundraising event, the Big Sleepout. This year's Sleepout is taking place at Chichester Cathedral on October 10 and 11. The event, which will coincide with World Homelessness Day, invites participants to get sponsored to sleep out overnight, sheltered only by structures they've built themselves.
Martin Curry, partner at Henry Adams, commented: “I’d encourage anyone to share the experience of sleeping out to raise awareness and funds. This year, sponsoring the Big Sleepout will enable my colleagues across all our residential offices and our professional services teams to join in by building their own shelters before sleeping out under the stars.”
The agency has been particularly busy in the charity stakes recently and its New Homes Department is doing a sponsored cycle ride throughout Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire, in aid of Stonepillow.
Martin Curry will be leading the cycle ride and you can sponsor him and his team here: https://www.justgiving.com/Henry-Adams-Cycle-Challenge/.
Trinity Hospice Blackpool and The Legacy Rainbow House: Staying on two wheels, a team of amateur cyclists from Lancashire agency Armitstead Barnett are embarking on a 125 mile ride from North to South Lancashire on September 4 and 5.

Starlight Children's Foundation: Next Thursday (August 27) teams from JLL's City, East, South East and Kensington offices will take part in the seventh JLL Property 5K.
Taking place in Regent's Park, the event will incorporate a fun run as well as a timed race for the more serious runners.
All proceeds will be donated to Starlight Children's Foundation, an organisation that aims to brighten the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by granting them their greatest wishes.

World Cetacean Alliance: In July conveyancing firm Searches UK asked clients and customers to send in a selfie to be in with the chance of winning a £100 donation to a charity of their choice.
After Searches' head office was inundated with photos from clients, the eventual winner was Clare Osborne of PDT Solicitors. She chose to donate the £100 to the World Cetacean Alliance, a charity which supports marine conservation and sea life in captivity.
