A local council says it is considering restricting how estate agent use boards for advertising community events like school sports days and village fetes.
St Albans council in Hertfordshire says there has been an increase in the number of such boards put up outside homes in residential areas in recent years, and it claims there is local concern they are often primarily commercial adverts for agents themselves.
A council task force has recommended that St Albans follow the example of other local authorities by restricting the estate agency’s logo to a fifth of the sign’s advertising area.

Hmm, not sure about this. At least these kinds of boards serve a purpose for the community.
