Property portal OnTheMarket has announced that it has signed up five branch estate agency Meller Braggins.
The firm, which is based in Cheshire, will now list its properties on OnTheMarket and Rightmove, after removing its stock from Zoopla.
The agency was established in 1836 and has offices in Knutsford, Wilmslow, Northwich, Stockton Heath and Macclesfield.
“We're pleased to back Agents’ Mutual which aims to place control of property advertising back into the hands of agents by disrupting the duopoly of Rightmove and Zoopla," says Richard Greenham, director of Meller Braggins.
He says that sellers, landlords, buyers and tenants will 'see the benefit of an ad-free site'.
OnTheMarket's commercial director, Helen Whiteley, adds: “It is great to see another multi-branch firm throw their weight behind OnTheMarket.com as we work towards our next milestone of gaining the support of 7,500 offices."
Last month the portal reported that its overall support had reached a total in excess of 7,000 estate and letting agent offices. This figure includes contracted agencies as well as those who have signed a Letter of Intent to join Agents' Mutual.
Earlier this year, OnTheMarket announced that it had signed up Norfolk estate agencies Arnold Keys and Watsons, as well as Harrison Murray and Goadsby.

I'm sure that their vendors will be delighted that they have removed them from a site with huge audience and adverts to a site with no adverts and tiny audience . If that's literally the best thing you could find to say to justify a commercial decision . If we can more honest about it Richard Greenham says " They came and offered it to us for £50 so we thought screw the marketing of vendors houses , we could save some cash . If anyone asks we will say something about having no ads on site or some other whatnot"
