Estate Agent Today understands that Vince Corley, a senior director at Countrywide, is leaving the company.
He is one of the longest-standing senior figures at the company, and is the latest high profile departure from the Countrywide group.
His departure was made known to some within the organisation early last week; a formal announcement was bought forward on Friday after an enquiry to the group's press office from Estate Agent Today.
In November 2015 Corley was appointed as the group's Financial Services Sales Director.
At the time, Countrywide chief executive Alison Platt described the appointment - one of a number made at the same time - as "another step forward for Countrywide as we build for our future."
Corley joined Countywide in October 2004 when the company took over Bradford & Bingley Estate Agents.
His work within the estate agency and financial services divisions over the past 13 years has included developing the lettings side of the group, which has seen substantial expansion in recent years.
A Countrywide spokesperson told EAT on Friday afternoon: “We can confirm that Vince Corley has chosen to leave the business to pursue other opportunities. We're grateful to him for his loyal service and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Very sad that this company is a shell of its former self.
The way they are going they should not have Platt in to "Restructure"
They would have been better offer just starting a "retail" arm and running it along side the original model.
Share price has nose dived since the new management team were appointed.
another one bites the dust....the show must go on.
fast becoming a joke this company
I wonder if Queen are Platt's favourite band??
you may well be right, certainly not R.E.M as there's no shiny happy people at CW
You really couldn't make it up. This is only the aspects that are available to view also. Behind the scenes I suspect things are even worse than people see at the present.
Without getting too conspiracy theorist i can confirm that from what i have heard.
Remember CW are about 20 million down year on year and they dumped circa 20 million pounds worth of Z shares ....
Last one out, please turn off the light.
can't possibly do that, CW taken all the bulbs already
Did well to hang on so long? Some senior managers make a positive difference, some don't........
