A Northamptonshire estate agency has been sold a rival with 16 branches across that county and Buckinghamshire.
Insider Business reports that Acorn, a single office agency in the village of Earls Barton, has been snapped up by O’Riordan Bond.
Acorn was set up by Adam and Philippa Plater in 2012 and the acquisition will, according to O’Riordan Bond, expand the company's reach between Northampton and Wellingborough.
Watersheds put the deal together and David Fletcher, a partner, said: "Sometimes the best deal is a sale to a large national company. Often they offer the best price, but on this occasion, the fit with a local business was so good it was financially compelling."
