Another 19 estate agency branches link with growing auction house

Network Auctions has added 19 additional estate agency offices to its network so far this year. 

They include three offices of Chaffers plus Roy Barrett Estate Agents in Dorset and Somerset, two offices of Xact Homes in Knowle and Solihull, plus two offices of Synergy Property Associates in St Neots and Westgate on Sea.

In addition, James Alexander Estate Agents in Norbury, The Address Estate Agents in Beckenham, Smile Estates in Southall, three offices of Accent Properties in North Wales, four offices of Michael Anthony in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire and Foreman King in Farnham Common have also joined up with Network Auctions.

“Our partnership arrangements reinforce an agent’s local brand and provide two key opportunities for business growth. Firstly via our traditional auction service which holds regular sales in London and Birmingham and secondly via Network E which enables an agent to offer a unique online method of sale and is proving highly successful, particularly as a differentiator and counter to online only agent offerings” says Toby Limbrick, Network Auctions’ managing director.

Meanwhile one of the oldest independent regional estate agencies in the country has launched an online option to supplement its existing auction service. 

Loveitts, a 174-year-old company which operates in Coventry and Warwickshire, has teamed up with Bamboo Auctions to launch the online option. 

Loveitts says the new online auction provides greater flexibility to sellers, allowing them to choose their own marketing period and auction timer. 

“This is of particular use if a seller misses a catalogue date or needs to sell within a certain timeframe. Properties listed online are exclusively available by online auction and won’t be found in the auction room” says a statement from the firm.

“It will provide our vendors with nationwide visibility which in turn opens up the marketplace creating a much greater opportunity to sell.  Further it complements the mantra by which we operate of speed, certainty and best priced achieved” explains Sally Smith, Loveitts auction manager.

“Online auctions will play a significant role in the future of auctions, especially in expanding the market as a whole. We are attracting new vendors into the market and a more diverse range of buyers; for instance, 30 per cent of our users are women and this is increasing month on month” says Robin Rathore, Bamboo’s director.
