The future of online agency Emoov remains in the balance this weekend with talks continuing between the management and possible buyers.
On Friday Russell Quirk, the beleaguered chief executive and founder of the firm, addressed staff as rumours circulated about the future of the company; for part of Friday, the public telephone numbers promoted on the firm's Emoov and Tepilo websites were not being answered as usual.
However, Quirk has told EAT that rumours regarding the company being in administration were "Untrue" and that he himself was "still in discussions."
This publication has been told that a meeting held by senior Emoov staff on Wednesday discussed administration: it has not been possible to confirm this speculation.
An email sent to staff on Friday, by the firm's national sales manager, reportedly told them to expect a tough week to come but to continue working diligently in anticipation of a buyer emerging.
In a phrase that one Emoov insider has described as "buck passing from management to the troops" the note says: "Every single person who doesn't work puts us more at risk."
A few days ago an Emoov insider told EAT “time is of the essence” in terms of the future of the agency.
Emoov has been known to be hunting for possible buyers since late October when it was revealed that investment which had been anticipated after the spring merger with Tepilo and Urban apparently failed to materialise.

Delusional management? High risk and unproven business model? All poorly executed?
Is the tech is worth £2m? Data brand goodwill etc.... £0?
At least PB is well executed.
By the way, given Neil Woodfords massive share sell off over the last few months, does EAT know whether PBs most high profile investor has dumped their shares?
Come on EAT, there's a story there, if you want to do some digging.
....and?......whats happened?
