The online agency HouseSimple is to use a video blogger to stay in a property on sale and promote it via social media in a bid to speed up its sale.
Lucy Flight, described by HouseSimple as “a property, fashion, and lifestyle YouTuber” will stay in a four bedroom home in Radlett, Hertfordshire, over Saturday night. The property has been on the market since December.
She will post videos on YouTube and other images and messages on Instagram and Twitter “to provide a view of what it would be like to live in the home for potential buyers.”
HouseSimple describes the exercise as an example of ‘try before you buy’ although the v-logger in question is not a prospective purchaser for the home, which is on the market at £755,000.
“People already test drive their car before buying it, so we’re challenging people to do the same when it comes to purchasing a house. Our Try Before You Buy experience will make it easier for homeowners to see what it would be to like to live in [the], saving the time that would be spent making several visits” says Sam Mitchell, HouseSimple’s chief executive.
