A hybrid estate agency has launched in Bury, one of the first of its kind to operate in the UK on a regional basis.
Bury Property has a physical office but advertises itself as “an online only service” which through local property experts "will help sell your home for a fixed fee of £1,500 (Inc VAT)” - this fee is paid upfront.
It also boasts that it will, at the same time, “save you £££'s in commission.”
For the fee customers get a valuation, photographs, what the agency calls “an online brochure”, a floor plan and measurements, a For Sale board and advertisements on Rightmove and Zoopla.
When it comes to significant human involvement the agency claims: “We offer a high street presence and a team of highly experienced, local estate agents to promote your property and you will have this experience and knowledge to draw on throughout the marketing.”
But the actual sale itself is down to the vendor who is proved with “an innovative 24/7 online dashboard to help you through the viewings and negotiation process.”
Average house prices in Bury are around £186,000 according to Zoopla - making the £1,500 fee approaching the figure that a traditional agent with a one per cent commission would charge.
The agency’s website is here.
