String of independent agents named as latest members of trade body

The Federation of Independent Agents has revealed the names of a string of new member companies from across the UK.

Founder Graham Lock says: ”We’ve gained traction in key areas throughout the country, with the recent addition of high-quality independent names that include Trend & Thomas, Andrew & Co, Hewitt Adams, Myrings, Ariston Property, Ensum Brown, Ashley Bennett, NEXA, Pinewood Properties and Taylor Raif plus several more exciting brands in the pipeline.”

The FIA recently held its second conference event in London; it was attended by more than 100 FIA delegates who heard from several industry keynote speakers including Zoopla, flatfair, Goodlord and Compliance Matters. 

“FIACON20 was a great day where members came together to learn and share. It’s refreshing and indeed unusual to see so many great brands in one room who are pushing their businesses to the next level, all willing to collaborate to become stronger. Spending a day on their business rather than in it means they’re always aware of new insights, products, compliance and specific trends to stay one step ahead of their local rivals” says Lock.

“This is just the start of what will become a significant network of high-quality agents, a new age of collaboration, sharing and buying power is on the horizon. Our members will also have a much stronger voice and industry representation to reflect the modern world of independent estate agency” he adds. 

The FIA - set up by Lock last year with the objective of leveraging the economies of scale of a large number of independents combined, in order to secure PropTech and other services at a price and quality previously reserved for large high-spending corporates - has already struck deals with a number of partners.

These include Homesearch, Twenty EA, Feefo, Proval, Citrus Content, Training for Professionals and Yomdel; the FIA has also set up a Land and New Homes division.
