A new market centre operating as a hub for freelance agents has opened in Glasgow.
Called KW Evolve it is a Keller Williams centre replacing a former operation in the same city, which hit trouble when the franchise operator fell into poor health.
The new Evolve operation will be led by Operating Principal Evelyn Foster, who has worked both in estate agency and financial services.
“I have worked with Keller Williams in the past and I love the model in which Keller Williams is built on. It is a model that truly focuses on the agent and supports them in training, coaching and production“ says Foster.
This is the second KW market centre to open in just a fortnight; earlier this month a new Oxfordshire hub - known as KW Oxygen - was revealed to have a senior former Savills figure, Tanya Blake, as its operating principal. And in January, KW Gatwick was launched.
The KW UK model involves market centres - often serviced offices - where an operating principal is supported by a team leader and an administrator.
Self-employed agents working for the company retain 63 per cent of their commission at first with the rest funding the overheads and support services.
Once their overall income passes a specific threshold, agents retain 90 per cent of their commission fees with the remainder going to Keller Williams.
The chief executive of KW UK, former Countrywide director Ben Taylor, says: “The growth of Keller Williams over the past 20 years has been astonishing and now the growth here in the UK is really starting to reflect that too. We are an agent centred business, that is what our model is built on.
“I approached Evelyn because she has all the ingredients needed to run a truly fantastic Market Centre. She is already very much on point with our Keller Williams culture and will be a massive asset to us, but more importantly to the agents who choose to work alongside her.”
He says more announcements are to come shortly.
