Over Easter we carried stories of good deeds done by agents and how firms were coping with working from home - one agency that excelled at both was Knight Frank. Now they’ve done it again with morale-raising exercises…
We’ve been contacted by many of their agents to explain what they’ve been doing to keep teams flying high during seven weeks of lockdown.
Chris Burton, head of the Dulwich office, tells us: “We’ve been doing quizzes each week on Zoom, with different quizmasters and team captains. So far we’ve used ideas from pub quizzes, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, A Question of Sport, Taskmaster, Higher or Lower, Supermarket Sweep, Family Fortunes and The Generation Game.”
Chris has kindly sent a picture as evidence of their activities - that’s quite a dodgy hat but we are jealous of the beer…
Meanwhile Marielle Papadopoullos, lettings manager in the Marylebone office, has combined drink with fitness - why not?
“We have done weekly ‘pub quizzes’ on general knowledge with some work questions thrown in too sometimes to keep the team on their toes! We always have a great laugh, I sent the last winner a box of BrewDog lagers as a prize” she says.
Marielle adds: “We have also been sharing our exercise regimes on our Whatsapp group, and did a 90 second plank in the managers’ meeting”.
It’s fitness for others, too.
Stuart Bailey, head of the Belgravia office says “We are doing team Yoga every Tuesday at 5pm on a video call!” while Caroline Foord, head of the Notting Hill office adds: “We do star jumps at the start of daily team calls, and next week we are going to try to do a four minute workout at the start of meetings.”
The leotards may need leaving out a little for some enjoying the handiwork of the team led by James Pace, head of the Kensington office. He tells us: “Alongside lots of quizzes, we are doing a ‘bake off’ this weekend and later this week will be playing ‘Through the Keyhole’ to guess who lives where…”
Thanks very much to the agency, please keep doing what you’re doing!
** Estate Agent Today and Letting Agent Today are this Bank Holiday weekend running stories about how the industry is coping with lockdown, seven weeks on. Normal news stories resume on Monday but for the moment, please check both sites to see how different agencies and suppliers are keeping up morale. **
