Agents’ views are being sought by Propertymark on how best to improve the housing supply in Northern Ireland.
The province’s Department for Communities has launched a call for evidence on the Housing Supply Strategy which is part of the its policy work to increase housing supply and address housing stress in Northern Ireland.
Propertymark is to make a formal response to the call - with a deadline of July 16 - and it wants agents to feed their ideas in by emailing policy@propertymark.co.uk.
The Department of Communities policy is intended to provide a long-term framework to address the issue and focuses on the following categories - Supporting People, Shaping Places and Building Communities; Land and Property; Planning; Finance; Infrastructure; Climate Change/Net Zero; Innovation; and Skills.
The ministry says the input from Propertymark members and all others responding to the call for evidence will be analysed and will contribute to the preparation of policy options and a draft strategy to go before Northern Ireland political leaders by the end of March 2022.
