Nest Seekers International is returning to UK TV screens with the announcement of a new BBC Two series.
The show, which has a working title of Crazy Rich Agents, will follow seven rookie estate agents over the course of the summer as they attempt to sell some of the most impressive and exclusive properties in the UK.
Nest Seekers has been the subject of a number of previous TV shows about its US operations including Selling the Hamptons, Million Dollar Listing and Million Dollar Beach House – but now, for the first time, the cameras turn towards the UK.
The agents will be trying to sell British homes ranging from rural castles to seaside mansions, penthouse apartments to gated estates.
If the agents make the sale, they could gain hundreds of thousands of pounds in commission.
But first, they have to convince owners to trust them, learn how to value top-end properties, stage houses and negotiate big money deals – the sort of things agents do every day.
The new show, made by Plum Pictures and Diga Studios for BBC Factual, offers exclusive access to Nest Seekers International and will provide a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes hustle and business acumen it takes to secure the most expensive properties, take them to market and bag that all-important sale.
Daniel McPeake, managing director of Nest Seekers in Europe, said: “It’s exciting to see the UK’s luxury property market in the spotlight at last – and I’m looking forward to seeing how these young agents adapt to the Nest Seekers style, which is very different from the way your average British estate agent does business.
“Our commission-only model incentivises agents to use every bit of their skill, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit to provide an ultimate, client focused service for high net-worth sellers and buyers – so it should make for fascinating viewing.”
