The team completed the challenge in just 24hrs and raised an impressive £14,000 for their nominated charity, Sue Ryder.
They were inspired by their friend David Park, a director in Eddisons’ Peterborough building and project consultancy team who was sadly diagnosed with cancer in 2021.
The team set a target of raising £10,000 for Sue Ryder, the charity that provides expert palliative care to people living with life-limiting conditions.
Martin Hughes, eastern region director for Eddisons, said: “It was tough, but we did it.
“As a team, we were able to push through the night and keep our spirits up despite the aches and pains and a closed path which actually added to the 47 miles.
“We’re so proud and grateful for all the support we’ve received in helping us beat our £10,000 target and raise over £14,000 to provide help and much-needed expert end-of-life care for Sue Ryder.

Sheldon Bosley Knight: The co-owner and director of a Midlands-based estate and property agency is donning his walking boots to take on the 100-mile Cotswold Way to raise money for cancer charities.
Mike Cleary, of Sheldon Bosley Knight (SBK), started the five-day marathon walk in Bath on 22 September.
From there he will walk to Old Sodbury, then to Dursley, to Birdlip and to Winchcombe before arriving in Chipping Campden on Monday 26 September.
The walk has been inspired by SBK employee Sophie Mockler who was diagnosed with a form of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in February this year.
Fortunately, Sophie, the company’s rural surveyor, has responded well to treatment and has completed her last chemotherapy session.
Mike, who last September walked the 73-mile Cumbrian Way in 72 hours, said he hopes to raise £2,500 for the cancer charities of Sophie’s choice.
He said: “I promised Sophie I would walk the 100-mile Cotswold Way for her cancer charity and I’m a man of my word.
“I will be joined by my brother-in-law Martin Edwards and will attempt to do this in just five days walking north from Bath – starting by catching the 6.41am train from Leamington Spa on Thursday – and ending with celebratory beers on Monday in Chipping Campden.
“Last September, I walked the Cumbrian Way, 73 miles in 72 hours and it was up there as one of the hardest things I have ever done.
“I suspect this will be harder, but not as much of a challenge than that which Sophie has hopefully just overcome. Her tenacity to prevail has motivated us all and I am determined to do her proud.”
Along the way Mike and Martin will be supported by friends and family as well as the 100 staff from SBK. Some have even promised to walk with them on part of the journey to help raise even more money for Sophie.

Estate Agent Content Club: The Estate Agent Content Club (EACC) is celebrating its third birthday by increasing the charitable support it helps agents share with their communities.
It has donated more than £23,000 through its charitable arm, The Karma Club, since 2019, which saw it win Best Supplier Fundraising at this year’s Agents Giving awards.
To mark the club’s birthday, it has donated an additional £500 in September to good causes ahead of its regular charitable giving.
EACC founder Jerry Lyons said: “When we started the club, it was with the idea we could help estate agents raise their marketing profile through consistently good content, and support them with the charitable work they do in their communities.
“The Karma Club takes £5 from each member’s monthly subscriptions, which is put into a digital kitty. Then we ask our members each month if they have good community causes or local charities they wish to support, and we match fund them.
“On average, we have donated £650 for each month we have been in business. Thanks to the generosity of our members, these amounts are match funded.
“When that’s taken into account, we’ve played a part in more than £40,000 in charitable giving since we began. It’s something our members love and that we are very proud of.
“It’s been an exciting three years, and we have plans to expand our business and keep doing all we can to help our members in any way we can.”
