On Wednesday day 18 cyclists had travelled 4,826 miles of our 5,000 coastal mile target around Great Britain and should have surpassed that by the time you read this.
There’s still time to join the team of property cyclists in their bid to not only cycle the distance of the British Ise’s but also raise £5,000 of much-needed funds for three great charities, MIND, The Trussell Trust and the Agents Giving Grant Fund.
You can still join in and cycle in your own time for the final big push on your road bike, mountain bike, static bike in your front room, office or at the gym and clock any mileage you can on Strava.
Ride on your own, with family, friends, or colleagues it’s all about taking part, having fun and fundraising for some great causes. You can cycle around your village or town, office to office relays or ride in your front room watching TV – the choice is yours.
Spencer Lawrence, managing director of lettings at Paramount has been taking part in the cycle ride and sharing his video snapshots on progress made, Spencer said: “As we enter the final phase of the challenge, we are really pushing to reach our £5k fundraising for MIND, Trussell Trust and the Grant Fund - Mum, I will be sending the link!”.

Conveyancing Foundation: The Conveyancing Foundation Charity Grant Scheme has made its first awards.
So far in 2023, grants of £2,000 have been awarded to three causes.
These include Women in Residential Property, which hosted a cinema night to raise vital funds for charity Ella’s, Aconveyancing, which arranged an It’s a Knockout event with teams taking part in an inflatable obstacle course race to support the Samuel’s Promise cause, and Conveyancing Foundation crusader Jessie Bishop ran the London Marathon to support the Mind mental health charity.
Lloyd Davies, chairman of the Conveyancing Foundation, said: “Our objectives as a charity are to enhance the lives of those working in our industry and to help support those less fortunate than ourselves.
“With the fantastic support of our Foundation Partners, we have Charity Grant funds available to support those in the conveyancing industry who are looking to raise funds for charity. We very much look forward to hearing from and supporting those individuals who have set themselves a challenge to raise funds for their chosen charities.”

HOP: A team of Yorkshire-based estate agents has raised more than £3,000 for Cancer Research UK after completing a gruelling cycling challenge that saw them pedal 2,300km in just five days.
Every member of HOP’s team completed at least six hours on one of four bikes outside the company’s Horsforth office on New Road Side, with the team clocking up 460km, or 286 miles, on each of the five days. This represented the 460 people that die from cancer every day in the UK.
HOP smashed its initial fundraising target of £2,300 and has raised more than £3,100 to date, with donations still coming in. The company also sold cakes baked by the HOP team, as well as their family and friends, which contributed £350 to the total amount raised.
Luke Gidney, managing director of HOP, said: “This was a tough challenge and especially on the days that it was windy and lashing it down with rain, but every single member of our team was happy to participate and help raise money for such a worthy cause.
“Our initial aim was to raise a pound for every kilometre we cycled, and we were all so pleased when we surpassed this target. The fact that donations are still coming in now makes it all worth it. Overall, the level of support from the people of Horsforth and the surrounding area has been incredible.
“We had passers-by of all ages cheering us on and jumping on the bikes to help put the miles in and the team from Workhouse Fitness in Farsley were also welcome guests who were only too happy to add a few miles, which was absolutely brilliant, when our legs were getting pretty tired.
“We’re now looking forward to handing our donation over to Cancer Research UK and supporting the organisation’s invaluable work in making new discoveries that will ultimately save lives.”
