A lack of understanding and training when it comes to sales is hampering the ability of some agents, an industry podcast claims.
The latest Agents MVMT Pass The Syrup podcast asks why agents aren’t good salespeople.
Scott Gunn of eXp suggests it is easy to get away with being a bad salesman as some get away with just sticking pictures on Rightmove and then taking the first decent offer.

Fellow guest Matt Baldock of Charles David Casson said many agents don’t understand that sales is about solving a problem, not just offloading houses.
He suggested industry trainers are outdated and said agents need to be better at understanding someone’s reason for moving.
Baldock added: “Agents need to be good at selling themselves to get the listing and then have to sell the property.”
Alex Pelosi-Buchanan of eXp, added that it is no use for agents to be passionate about property, they need to be passionate about the people they are helping.
