The administration of collapsed agency brand Douglas & Gordon has been extended by a year.
Douglas & Gordon called in Grant Thornton as administrator in April 2023 after failing to attract much-needed investment.
Since then, the lettings book and brand has been purchased by former Douglas & Gordon chief executive James Evans through his Brewham Holdings brand.
The administration of the old collapsed business has continued, which includes completing the sales pipeline and dealing with creditors including HMRC.
Grant Thornton’s latest update in September suggested that the administration would be wrapped up by the end of February 2024, with unsecured creditors including Foxtons’ founder Jon Hunt unlikely to get any money back.
But a document uploaded to Companies House last week confirmed that the high court has ordered for the administration to be extended.
It is now due to end on 23 February 2025.
