Savills has appointed industry specialist Victoria Garrett to the role of director of its global residential business, based in the firm’s London headquarters.
She joins from Knight Frank and is a highly-regarded global property professional with more than 20 years of experience, most recently based in Singapore where she was head of residential for the entire APAC region.
Her focus at Savills will be to support the continued expansion of the firm’s residential business throughout EMEA and Asia Pacific.
Over the past 14 years, Victoria has specialised in residential primary market sales and marketing, residential development consultancy and sales initiatives, spanning the UK, Middle East and Asia. Since 2017, her role encompassed the entire APAC region from a Singapore base, and over the preceding four years she was based in Dubai and covered the Middle East.
Justin Marking, head of global residential at Savills, said: “I’m very much looking forward to working with Victoria. She brings a fantastic mix of international exposure and experience in the property sector, a strong network of principal buyer client and intermediary relationships, developer relationships spanning the two geographic regions she has been based in, and also in the UK and in the US.
“This is a key appointment that will really help us continue to grow our residential network internationally and offer our global developer clients – many of whom regard Europe in particular as a global playing field - an unrivalled level of service.”
Garrett added: “I have relished my time living overseas and have learnt so much, but am now excited to return to the UK to bring this experience in international markets to the fore.
“The past two decades have given me a fairly unique blend of international exposure and experience in the property sector, and allowed me to build a huge network of contacts, particularly in the UHNW space. I look forward to using this knowledge to help Savills achieve its ambitions across its global residential business.”
