Zoopla sister brand reveals estate agency growth plans

Movemnt is targeting getting half of Alto’s client base to use its property onboarding and sales progression platform by the middle of next year.

Zoopla-owner Houseful launched Movemnt in June, described as a national home transaction infrastructure for all property professionals.

It aims to help agents and conveyancers centralise the onboarding process for a client as well as the upfront information paperwork required, while letting all sides of the process keep track of the chain.

Agents can earn referral fees for signing conveyancers and consumers up.

Alto integrated with Movemnt in July and its chief operating officer Riccardo Dawson, revealed 470 estate agency branches have signed up so far.

That is only a small proportion of the 9,000 branches on Alto but Dawson said he was hopeful to get 4,500 on board by the end of the second quarter of 2025.

He told Estate Agent Today: “This is a brand new brand so there is a bit of inertia.

“We are committed to growing this, as are our private equity backers, so we would fully expect to be 50% of that Alto base by q2.”

Dawson promised other features on Movemnt that would also help speed up transaction times, including using machine learning to read title deeds and highlight issues.

He added:  “We believe in this propositions that adds the benefit to estate agents.”
